Feeling anxious is your bodies way of experiencing stress as a normal part of life and  typically occurs during a life phase, change or an event that causes a heightened state of awareness but typically alleviates after the external stimuli is not longer present returning individuals to a state of “normalcy” or homeostasis.

Anxiety disorders are chronic, persistent feelings that present with symptoms of fear, excessive worry, apprehension. Over time it can interfere with relationships, jobs, school, finances and overall impair daily functioning. When an individual is suffering with reoccurring anxiety and stress lasting over a long period of time with little to no relief, it’s time to seek professional help.
